The Cervical Cancer Awareness Program was organized by the Lions Club Malur Town in collaboration with Vamshodaya Hospital Malur on October 30, 2024. Eminent speakers for the session were Ln Dr Vinayaka Prabhu, Founder President of Lions Club of Malur town and Consultant Surgeon at Vamshodaya Hospital Malur Ln Dr Sunitha V Prabhu, President , Lions Club of Malur town Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Vamshodaya Hospital. The staff and students attended the program held in the school seminar hall . The event was organized with the primary objective of creating awareness, treatment and prevention of cervical cancer and ensuring the well-being of our Teaching, Non-Teaching Staff and Students. Nearly 148 students and staff attended the Program. A team of well qualified Gynaecologists and support staff from Vamshodaya Hospital Malur. They explained the role of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in causing cervical cancer. The common signs and symptoms of cervical cancer were discussed, along with the importance of early detection. The importance of regular PAP smears and HPV testing for early detection and use of vaccination for the prevention of cervical cancer was emphasized. On 30th October 2024 birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was celebrated in JSS Public School, Malur in the morning assembly with great enthusiasm. The teachers and students of JSS Public school took oath to preserve the unity of the nation administered by Mrs. Prema Kumari M, Social Science Teacher. She also addressed the students regarding the importance of unity and also the contribution of the Iron Man of India. After the assembly, 96 students of grade 7 and 6 teachers took part in the Run for Unity event in Kolar Road, Malur. They covered a distance of 3 kms holding placards with slogans to create awareness about unity among the general public.
 
On 29th September 2024, JSS Public School hosted a one day capacity building training programme on the topic Stress Management from 9 am to 4:30 pm for teachers. The session commenced with an invocation song. The resource persons of the session were Mrs Surabhi Yamini Iyengar, Principal, Young Scholars Academy, Bengaluru and Mr Suresh M Mahalingapur, Principal, Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, Mangalore. 47 teachers took part in the session actively. The Stress Management Workshop for teachers looked into various factors which lead to stress. Teachers were explained about the Psychological, Physiological, Behavioural symptoms that are indicative of a person being under stress as well as the loss of rational thinking and cognitive ability. The entire workshop was conducted in an interactive manner and videos pertaining to the topic of the Capacity Building Programme were shown to reiterate the solutions of Stress Management. The session gave the faculty members an opportunity to learn how to manage stress in their daily lives.
 
On 24th September 2024, 109th Jayanthi of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji was celebrated by the JSS Institutions Malur in the Open Air Theatre of JSS Public School. The audience were blessed by the august presence of Sha.bra.Shri. Shantha Mallikarjuna Swamiji, Sri Salur Bruhanmath, Shri MM Hills, Chamarajanagar District. The Chief Guests of the function were Dr. C Somashekhar, IAS(Rtd), President, Akhila Bharatha Sharana Sahithya Parishad and Sri N R Jnanamurthy, President, Jilla Sharana Sahithya Parishath, Kolar. The dignitaries were welcomed by Sri S H Maheshwarappa, Coordinator, JSS Institutions, Malur. The devine lamp was lit by the dignitaries with a mesmerizing invocation by the students of JSSPSM. The Datti Puraskar for the academic year 2023-24 were given to the meritorious students of JSSPS, JSSGHS, JSSGHPS, JSSPUC by the guests. All the heads of the JSS Institutions of Malur, staff,students and parents were took part in the celebration. The Prasadam was offered to all the attendees.
 
Teachers’ Day was celebrated by the students of JSS Public School, Malur to transcend their mere gratitude and heartfelt tribute to the mentors who shaped the young minds and inspired future leaders. The campus buzzed with excitement as students meticulously plan surprises, decorate classrooms, and rehearse special performances to honor their teachers. The air was filled with anticipation and appreciation, as students eagerly awaited the opportunity to express their admiration and affection. In classrooms adorned with flowers and handmade cards, teachers were greeted with smiles and heartfelt messages, each one a testament to the profound impact they’ve had on their students’ lives. In the morning assembly, poojas were rendered to the portraits of Jagadguru Dr Sri Shivrathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji and Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan seeking their divine blessings. Speeches were delivered by the students remarking the contribution of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The chief guest of the function was Sri S H Maheshwarappa, coordinator, JSS Educational Institutions, Malur. He addressed the gathering highlighting the importance of Guru in one’s life and also adviced the students about the importance of being disciplined to become ideal citizens of future. The principal congratulated the teachers for their effort and tremendous support and motivated the students to become good human beings. Teachers took part in the various games arranged by the students enthusiastically. Teachers’ Day at JSS Public School, Malur reminded us that it was not just a celebration it’s a reaffirmation of the enduring bond between mentors and students, united in their pursuit of knowledge and excellence.
Blue is the colour of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. Blue symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence and truth. The students of Pre Primary celebrated ‘Blue Day’ on 4th September, 2024 with great zeal. The significance of blue colour was reiterated through a series of activities. Excitement and enthusiasm was visible everywhere. All the children came dressed up in different shades of blue. Clad in blue dresses, students were made to recognize blue colour through different games and play-way activities. An array of blue coloured objects like umbrella, ball, cloud, flowers etc. were at display thus providing the students opportunities to have a clear sense of the colour and its importance. The classrooms were decorated with blue balloons and umpteen blue objects. It was a pleasant and a cool blue day for the tiny tots.
 
JSS Public School, Malur celebrated 78th Independence Day on 15 August 2024. The event commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by the honourable Chief Guest Sri S H Maheshwarappa, Coordinator, JSS Educational Institutions, Malur which was followed by the national anthem. After a few hearty cheers of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Jai Hind’, speeches were delivered by the students of JSS Public School about the importance of freedom and the sacrifices of the patriots which instilled the students with pride and respect for the nation. Students also exhibited their patriotic spirit by exhibiting their talents in the form of singing and dances. This was followed by an address by the Principal, Mrs Remya U who highlighted the contribution of the freedom fighters and urged the students to uphold their legacy and do our utmost to contribute to our nation’s rise. She concluded by providing the students with valuable advice to dedicate themselves to their studies and make our country proud. The students of Grades 6 to 10 and NCC students of JSS Public School took part in the March Past and won prizes in the competition held at Honda Stadium as part of Independence Day Celebration at Taluk level.
Students of Grade IX were taken to field trip to Malur and Gudnahalli farm lands on 31 st July, 2024, Wednesday. The objectives of the field trip are to make the students aware and acquire the knowledge about the crops, the farmers ‘life and the different methods of growing crops. Field trip is an outdoor activity where students are joyous and lively. In this activity students also interacted with the farmers and also with brick makers and enquired about the crop pattern, power issues, water facility, marketing, transport etc including farmer’s problems and grievances. This activity is indeed very beneficial as it can enhance their social skills and able to understand how the field of agriculture is in our country.

Pertaining to the future of students and career for students of grade X 'Career Counseling' was arranged on 16 July, 2024 from our alumnus: Mr Rakesh, Dr Meghana and Mr Charan Gowda, who are rendering service in different fields and capable to guide students as they had experienced the dilemmas. They discussed and shared their knowledge regarding, skills required on various aspects. They even interrogated with individuals to clarify their confusions. Indeed a worthwhile session helped students of grade X to unlock their potential to achieve their aspirations and create a fulfilling career that aligns with their passions and talents.
The momentous day of Investiture ceremony at JSS Public school, Malur dawned on 4th July 2024 to bestow the responsibilities on the deserving young talents of the school to lead their school from to front with their commitment, confidence and competence.
The solemn occasion commenced with the an electrifying march past by the students of all the four houses namely, Newton House (Red), Aristotle House(Yellow), Einstein House(Green), Socrates House(Blue) along with the School band. The gathering was welcomed by Miss Spriha of grade 10. The newly elected student council members received their prestigious sash from the Chief Guest Dr Madhupriya V, an outstanding alumnus of our institution. The newly elected student council members took the oath to work earnestly and uphold the honour and glory of the institution administered by Mrs. Remya U, Principal. It was a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders. The Principal motivated the children to keep moving forward despite all the obstacles and challenges that life throws in front of us. She said that being a leader is a vital role and that the new Student Council would have ample responsibilities to shoulder. AA spirit of unity and dynamism filled the air as the Grand Ceremony commenced with the soulful rendition of invocation song by the school choir. The vote of thanks was delivered by Miss. Sevanthipriya of Grade 9. The ceremony ended with the national anthem and a promise in the hearts of all the leaders to work together and make every event a successful one.
On 5th June 2024 World Environment Day was celebrated by JSS Public School, Malur in the Morning assembly. The students were made aware about the importance of saving our environment from various types of pollution. Students took part in the event by engaging themselves in various activities like poster making, painting, essay writing, etc. Saplings were planted to make the environment green and clean.
 
JSSPS, MALUR once again roes to the pinnacles of academic excellence, with the declaration of the CBSE AISSE Class X result for the academic year 2023- 2024.
A perfect 100% has been delivered by our young achievers. Students have shown a stupendous performance with Rekha Gowda M V scoring the highest 94.60%, Rohan S M scoring 94.20%, respectively.
A total of 84 students had appeared for the examination. Out of which 47 students brought laurels to the school securing distinction.

On 29th December 2023 Annual day was celebrated in JSS open air theatre. The meritorious students were honoured by the Chief Guest Sri V V Bhaskar, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kolar and the Guest of Honour Sri Ramamurthy K L, Executive Engineer, PWD, Kolar. Students from nursery to grade X took part in the cultural programmes.
Childrens’ Day was celebrated on 18th November 2023 in the school with great festive fervor, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The function began with a special assembly conducted by teachers followed by cultural activities. The School Captaincy Council Members were the chief guests of the function. Fun activities and games were organized for the students. Sweets were distributed to the students.
The vibrant spirit of Kanakadasa Jayanti permeated the air at our school as all of us came together to commemmorate the birth anniversary of the saint and poet, Kanakadasa in the school assembly. Floral tribute was paid to honor Kanakadasa, whose legacy lives on through his soul-stirring kirtanas and profound teachings, inspiring us to seek the divine within ourselves. The students recited Keerthans and sung devotional songs composed by the saint. This celebration fostered a sense of unity and communal harmony among the students.
68th Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated on 1st November 2023. The chief guest of the function was Sri S Raghunath, renowned poet and writer. The chief guest urged the students to develop a love for kannada language and read numerous works of kannada scholars to understand the depth of the language. All the heads, Staff and high school students of JSS institutions, Malur took part in the programme. Students took part in the cultural programmes as a part of the celebration.
The birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our nation and Sri Lal bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India were celebrated on 2nd October 2023 by JSS Public School, Malur. The programme began with an invocation song by the school choir. The dignitaries on the stage paid the floral tribute to the portrait of the leaders. Students delivered speeches highlighting the simplicity, philosophy, truthfulness, hard work and determination of Mahatma Gandhi in Hindi, English and Kannada. Students recited the bhajans including ‘Raghupathi Raghava Raja Ram’ with divine spirit. Sri Maheshwarappa S H, Coordinator, JSS Educational Institutions, Malur addressed the students and urged them to imbibe the moral values in their life for their wellbeing. Students also recited hymns from Bhagwat Gita, Bible and Quran to emphasize peace, harmony and brotherhood in the society. Students of grade 8, 9 & 10 along with the teachers and vice principal took part in the cleanliness drive in the school campus toi nculcate awareness among the students about clean environment and healthy life. Sweets were distributed to the students at the end of the event.

Teachers’ Day celebration was organized by the students of Grade 9 and 10 to show their gratitude towards teachers. The function commenced with an invocation song by the school choir. The Divine Lamp was lit by Sri Munikrishnappa L, vice principal & Sri Kannan Babu V R, Hindi Teacher. All the teachers and students paid tribute to the great teachers Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji and Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. A beautiful song was sung by Vedanth Gowda K V of Grade 9. Speeches in Hindi, English and Kannada highlighting the hardwork, sacrifice and dedication of the teachers were delivered by Shivam Tiwari, Aasiya Bushra and Navya C of Grade 10. Graceful dance performances were presented by the students of grade 9 and 10. The Vice Principal Sri Munikrishnappa L appreciated the sincerest efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student. A special poem ‘Mother teacher’ was composed and recited by Smt Manjula B, English teacher. Teachers took part in the games like volley ball and throw ball organized for the event. Thus the entire celebrations paved a new hope for teachers to rejoice the journey as a teacher.
 
JSS Public School, Malur witnessed a spirited celebration of India’s 77th Independence Day on 15th August 2023 as the stakeholders of JSS INSTITUTIONS, Malur came together with unwavering zeal. The celebrations were held around the theme ‘Nation First, Always First’, echoing the sentiments of national pride and progress. The National Flag was hoisted by the honourable Chief Guest Sri S H Maheshwarappa, Coordinator accompanied by all the heads of JSS Institutions, Malur. The national anthem sung by the School Choir resonated in the air, filling hearts with pride and unity followed by the March Past by NCC students, School band and Middle School team. Mesmerizing dance performances weaved through a medley of patriotic songs were presented by the students. The chief guest addressed the gathering appealing to their nationalistic spirit and urging them to take pride in being an Indian and fulfilling one’s duty with responsibility. He also emphasized the importance of discipline in students and urged them to keep their surroundings clean by avoiding the use of plastic. Musical renditions by the school choir which sang patriotic songs awakened everyone’s feelings towards the motherland. Speeches in Hindi and English were delivered by the students highlighting the sacrifice of freedom fighters and snapshot on the glimpses of freedom struggle. The Middle School students took part in the March Past held at Taluk Level Independence Day celebration and bagged the First Prize. Sweets were distributed to the students. The Independence Day celebration 2023 spread a positive vibe among everyone gathered to think of being the change that they would see in the posterity.
 
Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life. The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2023-24 was held with great pomp and dignity in the School premises on 5th July 2023. The program began with an invocation song by the School Choir. The Chief Guest of the function was Subedar Major R Prabhu, NCC-10 Kar, KGF. He awarded the Gowns of Responsibility to the newly elected School Captain and Vice Captain, House Captains and Vice Captains of the four houses - Chandra Shekar Azad, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Subhash Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh, School Band and NCC Division. The Presidential address was delivered by Sri S H Maheshwarappa, Coordinator. He congratulated the leaders and motivated the students to participate in all the activities. The Oath of allegiance was administered by Sri L Munikrishnappa, Vice Principal. The elected leaders of the School Forum gave speech with zeal and enthusiasm representing their houses. The Welcome speech and Vote of thanks were delivered by R Tejashwini and Rekha Gowda of Grade 10. The Program was compered by Aakriti Jaisi of Grade 10. All the students, teachers, non-teaching staff and parents took part in the event. The function concluded with the National Anthem.
 
International Yoga Day is observed on June 21 all over the world every year. Yoga is an invaluable gift from our ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action- a holistic approach that is valuable to our health and our well-being.
On 21st June 2023 JSS Public School, Malur celebrated International Yoga Day in its campus with the theme “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which beautifully encapsulates our collective aspiration for ”One Earth, One Family, One Future.” The event began with a brief introduction on Yoga Day by Smt. Manjula B followed by an invocation slogan by Yoga guru Sri.L. Munikrishnappa, Vice Principal. The welcome speech was delivered by Tejashwini of class 10. The students practised and performed sitting and standing asanas namely, Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Pada-Hastasana, Trikonasana, Bhadrasana , Vajrasana, Ustrasana, Shalabhasana etc. after the warm up exercises under the able guidance of Sri.L. Munikrishnappa, Yoga Instructor. He also briefed about the benefits of asanas along with his instructions. Yoga pledge was administered by Smt. Remya U, Principal. She also addressed the participants on the importance of yoga practice in our life. All the students and faculty of JSS institutions took part in the event enthusiastically. NCC Officers Subedar GC Ghosh, Havaldar Rajaram Gurjar and NCC students were also present in the programme. Competitions on Essay writing, Quiz and Jingles were conducted as part of the celebration. Vote of thanks was rendered by Ameena Kousar of class 9. The programme concluded with Shanthi Mantra and National Anthem.

Track events were on full swing, lezims and dance display mesmerized the audience. Champions & winners in CCA & Sports were awarded.

The aims of this competition are to strengthen the roots of Democracy and to enable the student community to know about practice and procedure of the Parliament. The purpose of platform is to develop in students an insight into the working Parliament Session.
JSS Public School, Malur participated in Suttur Sports Meet .Uzma Khanum of Grade VII from JSSPS, Malur bagged first place in 400 Mtrs Running Race in Inter-School Sports Meet and bought laurels to the school.
Children’s Day was celebrated on 14 November, 2022 at JSSPSM to commemorate the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru . Teachers surprised the students by conducting assembly , games were organized for students and a series of activities were conducted for students from LKG to Grade X. Students had talent show and sweets were distributed and they enjoyed to the fullest.
National Youth Day was conducted at JSS Public School, Malur on 12th January,2022 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda. Grade VIII to X students participated in a rally displaying placards & slogans to create awareness amongst the public about the power of youth in building the nation. Speech was delivered in the assembly and made the event successful.
Kanakadasa Jayanthi was celebrated on 11 November,2022 at JSS Public School ,Malur. Students from Grade VIII to X were part of the program . Mr. S H Maheshwarappa Coordinator of JSS Institutions, Malur presided over the program. Mr. L Munikrishnappa Principal JSSPS delivered a speech on the importance of the occasion. Hymns (Keetaney’s ) were sung and speeches were delivered by the students and teachers.
Kannada Rajyothsava was celebrated with great pomp and show at JSSPS, Malur. JSS Gayatri School and JSS PU College students & staff joined the occasion . Prof. Kumari Shilpa Kannada Professor, First Grade College, Maur was the Chief Guest, all the heads of the Institution were on the dais & Mr. S H Maheshwarappa Coordinator JSS Institutions Malur ,presided over the program . Students Delivered Speeches, Songs were sung & the stage was lit with the student’s mesmerizing performances. Finally the program came to an end by distributing sweets.
JSS Institutions Malur Celebrated 107th Swamiji Jayanthi on 15th September, 2022. The programme filled the fragrance of celebration after a long time. In the divine presence of Dr. Shri Panditharadhya Shivacharya Swamiji. Shri. S.N Siddaramappa IPS, Shri.H.S Chandrakala BEO, Shri. R.C. Appaji Gowda Advocate were the chief guests of the program. A huge crowd of parents, students and staff were provided with Dasoha (lunch) as it is the legacy of JSS.

The Chief Guest of Occasion M. Nagaraj, Former MLA of Malur who was apt personality enhanced the session sharing more relevant points regarding Parliamentary affairs and its functions. It was presided over by Mr. S H Maheshwarappa, Coordinator of JSS Educational Institutions, Malur. Mr. Munikrishnappa L, Principal of JSS Public School, Malur, who was the mentor and creator worked as the brain of the august occasion. Mrs. Shanthi M greeted the gathering and Mrs. Manjula B compered and proposed Vote of Thanks. The majestic set was created by Mr. Jeevan. The presence of Mr, Jnanamurthy and Ravi Reddy radiated the beauty of the occasion.
JSS Public School Celebrated 75th Indian Independence Day on 15th August 2022 with the theme ‘ Azadi Ka Amruth Mahotsav’ ie; the’ Nectar Festival’. JSS PU College, JSS Gayatri School & JSS Public School together celebrated the national festival. Students from all the three divisions displayed march past in their best attires & marching skills. To mark ‘Azadi Ka Amruth Mahotsav’ a series of activities were conducted from grade I-X.
The winners were awarded and appreciated for their patriotic spirit towards the nation. Dances were performed & speeches were delivered in remembrance of the martyrs. Mr. S H Maheshwarappa , Coordinator presided over the program and all the heads of the Institution were the Chief Guests for the event. Sweets were distributed to all the students and the Staff.
To Mark the 75th Independence Day with the theme ‘ Azadi Ka Amruth Mahotsav’. All the NCC Cadets participated in the march past at the Honda Stadium.
All the Cadets participated in the ‘Independence Day Virtual Run’ of 5 km and cadets also participated in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ event to show their respect towards the nation.
 
JSSPS, MALUR once again roes to the pinnacles of academic excellence, with the declaration of the CBSE AISSE Class X result for the academic year 2021- 2022.
A perfect 100% has been delivered by our young achievers. Students have shown a stupendous performance with Archanaa A.M scoring the highest 96.4%, Induja .S scoring 96%, Anusha .V 95.8%, Chandan Gowda.C scoring 93.4%, Tejaswini. M with 92.4%, Nagashree with 92.2% , Bhanu priya.S with 91.8%, Likitha.N.K with 91.4%, Nikitha B.C with 91.2%, Dulcea Suresha with 90.8% and Likith .P with 90% respectively.
A total of 76 students had appeared for the examination. Out of which 36 students brought laurels to the school securing distinction, 34 First class and 6 Second class.
This excellent result is a be fitting reward for the synergic efforts of the diligent students, dedicated school faculty and ever supportive parents.
JSS Public School, Malur celebrated Investiture Ceremony on 05 July, 2022. Newly elected Captain & Vice Captain for school and the four houses ie; Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire & Topaz and Band leader were officially announced and presented the gowns of responsibility. Shri. K Ramesh KAS Tahsildar & Taluk Magistrate, Malur was the Chief Guest. Mrs.Nuzhath Muneera Principal JSSPSM administered the Oath and Sri. S.H.Maheshwarappa Coordinator of JSS Institutions , Malur presided over the programme.
JSS Public School, Malur conducted School Captaincy Elections for the academic year 2022-23. Nominated candidates in their full spirits. Campaigned and presented the best in them. Finally the election was held on 22-06-2022.
8TH International Day of Yoga was observed at JSS Public School, Malur. All the three JSS Institution’s faculty & students performed Yoga. According to the Yoga protocol asanas were performed & the benefit of adopting it in our lifestyle was highlighted. JSS Public School Principal Mrs. Nuzhath Muneera administered ‘Sankalp/Oath’. Coordinator Mr. S H Maheshwarappa presided over the programme. Yoga day was successful in enlightening the mind & soul under the able training of yoga guru Mr. Munikrishnappa. 50 NCC Cadets from JSSPS performed yoga at Honda Stadium and 50 students represented our school at the Iconic site of ‘Shathashrunga Hills’, Kolar.
Under the ‘ Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ initiated Toycathon- 2022, conceived to challenge India’s Innovative minds to conceptualize novel Toy & Games based on Bharatiya Civilization, History, Culture, Mythology & Ethos.Toycathon 2022 is an Inter-Ministrial initiative organized by ministry of Education’s innovative cell with support from All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Women & Child Development, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Textiles & Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. JSSPS, Malur ATL team ignited the budding innovators and six students were selected in national level competition & grabbed a unique opportunity to participate & present in this hands on national level competition help in MRIIRS (MANAV RACHNA INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF RESEARCH AND STUDIES, FARIDABAD, HARYANA). In this physical edition of Toycathon 2022 Six budding innovators with two mentors from JSSPSM participated and represented our school in National level. They added one more feather to the glory of JSSPSM.
World Environment day 2022 was celebrated at JSS, Malur on June 4th & 6th to spread the awareness about the important of conserving Planet Earth, our one & only Earth with the theme “ Only one Earth “ , focuses on our role as the citizens of The Earth, to protect the environment & to encourage sustainable living everyday & everywhere.Students from class VII to X participated in different events like cleaning the campus, writing essays, poems, poster making, skit, speech etc. NCC and Scouts & Guides participated enthusiastically. Principal administered the oath & addressed the students. The awareness was created among students to act responsibly and to be the change.
JSS Public School, Malur is the only private School in the taluk with an NCC unit started in the year 2012-13 with 50 Cadets.As NCC aims to develop character, commandership, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, Sportsmanship & ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country. Every year students from the school are enrolled in NCC. This academic year 2022-23 under the guidance of Subedar Adhi Muttu & Hawaldar Basappa 14 Boys & 9 Girls were enrolled. New Cadets are ready to mould themselves to serve the nation.
National Cadets Corps (NCC) cadets of JSSPSM created awareness on Anti Tobacco Day with the Theme ‘Drugs Destroy Life’ on 31 May, 2022 Tuesday. In this Anti Tobacco Drive NCC Cadets conducted a rally, displayed placards and gave awareness speech in the assembly. The campaign highlighted on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and second-hand smoke exposure and to discourage the use of tobacco in any form.
72nd Republic Day was celebrated by JSS Public School Maluru on 26th January, 2021. All the heads and staff members of the JSS Educational Institutions Maluru took part in the celebration. The National flag was hoisted by Sri. Maheshwarappa S H, coordinator, Maluru. Patriotic songs were sung by the teachers. A speech in English about fundamental rights and duties was delivered by Smt. Nuzhath Muneera, principal. Our school NCC students took part in March Past in the Republic Day function held at Honda Indoor Stadium, organized by Municipal Corporation, Maluru.
The National Voters’ Day was celebrated in JSS Public School, Malur on January 25 every year since 2011, all across the country to mark the foundation day of Election Commission of India, i.e. 25th January 1950. The Theme for this year’s NVD is ‘Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative’ The main purpose of the NVD celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximize enrolment, especially for the new voters. Dedicated to the voters of the country, the day is utilized to spread awareness among voters and for promoting informed participation in the electoral process. Students presented a skit with placards to create awareness, speeches were delivered by students and teachers.

12th January, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated as National Youth Day to honour his contributions and to propagate his philosophy and the ideals. The main objective of celebration is to promote rational thinking among the youth of the country. On this occasion in JSS Public School, Malur had organized a programe and students from grade IX & X presented speechs to awake the youth. The students sang melodious songs and participated in large number.On 22nd November 2021, Kanakadasa Jayanthi was celebrated in JSS Public School, Malur. All the heads and staff of JSS Institutions, Malur took part in the function. Speech in English and Kannada were Presented by Students.
Yashwanth Raj D J of Class X Tagore and Induja S of Class X Kabirdas of JSS Public School, Malur won the Certificate of Achievement for Best State Level Entry in Painting Competition held at National level on ‘Oil & Gas Conservation’, conducted by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt, of India.
On 2nd October 2021, 106th Jayanthi of Sri Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji and Gandhi Jayanthi were celebrated in JSS Public School, Malur. All the heads and staff of JSS institutions, Malur took part in the function. Bhajans were recited by the students.

On 3rd December 2020 Kanakadasa Jayanthi was celebrated in the school. A speech in kannada was delivered by Sri. Manjunatha G, Kannada Teacher. Keertanas of Kanaka Dasa were recited by the teachers during the function. Principal and teachers took part in the function.
On 1st November 2020, JSS Educational Institutions, Malur jointly celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava in the campus. The function was presided by the coordinator, Sri. Maheshwarappa. All the heads of the institutions and teachers took part in the function.
On 31st October 2020 birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was observed as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas ( National Unity Day) through various Virtual activities to the students from the classes VI - X. Activities like, A pledge on Ekta Diwas, Essay Writing, Poster making, slogan writing, Online Quiz were conducted.
On 15th October 2020, CORONA – “Hedarike beda, Echara Irali”, a skit in Kannada was presented by the staff of JSS public school, Malur. The video of the skit was circulated in the class whatsapp groups to emphasise the importance and significance of following the covid related social behaviour norms including wearing masks, social distancing and hand hygiene during the upcoming festival season.
Mental Health Week was observed from 4th to 10th October, 2020. Teachers narrated stories through virtual classes to provide psychosocial support to students for mental health and emotional well being during covid-19 outbreak. Students also took part in the activities like poster making and slogan writing for creating awareness on mental well being.
On 2nd October 2020 birth anniversaries of Mahathma Gandhiji and Lal Bahadhur Shastri were celebrated on 2nd October 2020 in JSS institutional complex, Malur. The function was presided by the coordinator Sri. S. H Maheshwarappa. Songs and Bhajans were recited by the teachers. Mr. Munikrishnappa L, social science teacher delivered a speech in Kannada remembering the great works of Mahathma Gandhiji.
Students of class VI to X took part in the activities like home cleanliness, slogan writing, poem composition, poster making, essay writing, handwriting, yoga and meditation and caring animals which were part of 150th commemoration of Mahathma Gandhiji Jayanthi celebration.
Students of class IX and X took part in the online quiz on Discover Gandhi conducted by CBSE.
86 students of class VII to X took part in the webinar on Student Solar Ambassadors Workshop.
On 15th September 2020, 105th Jagadguru Dr.Sri Shivaratri Rajendra Mahaswamiji Jayanthi was celebrated jointly by JSS Educational Institutions, Malur. The chief guest Sri Narayana Kumar, Senior Lawyer, Malur, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Bhajans were recited by the teachers. Sri. Chandrashekar B N, Kannada lecturer, JSS PU College, delivered a speech regarding Swamiji’s life and his contributions in education field. Sri. Maheshwarappa S H, coordinator, all the heads of the institutions and teachers took part in the function.
On 15th August 2020, Independence Day was celebrated in the school. The flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest Smt. Parvathamma B, Prl. Civil Judge, Malur. She shared details about India’s struggle for Independence and freedom with the students and urged them to keep the flag of the nation flying high as the citizens of tomorrow.
