Marathon was organized in JSS Public School, Malur for students of classes VIII-X with a theme ‘Swachcha Jal’ to create awareness among general public to use clean water for good health and wellbeing.

Children’s Day was celebrated on 14 NOVEMBER, 2018 .The teachers and children remembered Pandit Jawarharlal Nehru, our first Prime Minister, and celebrated the love that he had for all children . Children arrived at school, dressed in colourful clothes and were full of excitement during the special assembly conducted in the school. The children were completely immersed when they watched the special assembly presented by teachers. To entertain the children songs, dance and skit performed by teachers, and there was fun activities for the students.
The Birth Anniversary of Moulana Abul Kalam Azad was celebrated in JSS Public School, Malur on 11 November,2018 who was the First Education Minister, Educationist and Freedom Fighter was observed as ‘National Education Day’. On this day Speeches were delivered in the school assembly and created awareness among students.
Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated on 1st November,2018 in JSS Public School, Malur with great pomp and grandeur. Speeches were delivered to showcase their love towards the state , group songs were sung and performed dances, which displayed the glory of this great state. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas ( National Unity Day) was celebrated in JSS Public School, Malur on 31st October,2018 to commemorate birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel , who had played an important role in unifying the country. The idea of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was mooted by P.M Narendra Modi in October 2014.To mark this occasion speeches were delivered in morning assembly, chief guest of the function Mr.Maheshwarappa Coordinator JSS Institutions, Malur administered an Oath. Besides, Run for Unity was organized for class-IX students. Coordinator, Teachers and students participated actively and created awareness among the public about the importance of the day and made the event successful.
Valmiki Jayanthi was celebrated on 15 October,2018 with great pomp and show to pay tributes to great saint Maharishi Valmiki , who is regarded as "Adi Kavi". He was a great sage and author of the epic "Ramayana" which consists of 24,000 verses and seven cantos (Kandas) including the Uttara canto. On this occasion, Speeches were delivered and discussed elaborately about the life sketch of the great literary genius and his philosophy.

A devotional ambience prevailed as the programme started with a meaningful prayer service in the form of ‘Sarva Dharma Prarthana’. As Gandhiji said “The need of the moment is not one religion but mutual respect and tolerance of different religions.” It was proved by JSS PSM reading a psalm each from ‘The Bible’,’The Quran’,’The Bhagavatgeetha’. The students read out and interpreted the verses. To pursue the path of Gandhiji, shramadaan was carried out. The programme concluded by singing the National anthem.
Mahaswamiji was celebrated devotionally by the JSS institutions, Malur. Sri. Paramapoojya Shylashree Jagadguru Neelakanta Saaranga Dheshikendra Mahaswamiji, Veerashaiva Periya Matt, Kumbakonam was the chief guest. The function was presided over by Mr. Vemana M V Councilor, Town Municipal Council of Malur. The celebration was a grand success.
Swachhta Pakwada related activities like workshops, visits ,skit,Drawing Competition, Exhibition and awareness campaigns were conducted in the school campus.It was followed by their personal involvement in cleaning activities both on and off campus involving Staff, Students and Parents. Teachers inspected the sanitary facilities in each and every corner of the school, toilets, kitchens , classrooms ,fans, windows ,bushes in the campus and surrounding area and also guided the incharges in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the campus.

Teachers’ Day Celebration was held at JSS Public School , Malur on 5th September 2018. It was considered as “celebration” day, where teachers and students reported to the school but the usual activities and classes were replaced by activities of celebration, thanks and remembrance. The programme started at 10:30 am, where the students welcomed the faculty, followed by 1minute games like Mirror reading, left hand writing, Quiz, Pyramid, Words without vowels etc; and Kabbaddi for Gents Staff was organized.The event was concluded with a vote of thanks and it was followed by refreshment for the staff members.

Master. Charan S.M of Class- X was elected as the School Captain and Miss.Sneha Rajkumar of class -X was elected as the Vice Captain of the School. Jss Public School,Malur celebrated International Day of Yoga on 21June,2018 in the School open air theater.Students from class VIII to X performed Yoga reminding the importance of 'Yoga in daily life'. World Environment Day was celebrated with the motto “Beat Plastic Pollution” on 05 June, 2018. The function was presided over by Mrs. Nuzhath Muneera, Principal and the Chief Guest was Mr. Maheshwarappa, Coordinator of JSS Educational Institutions, Malur. On this occasion, the Chief Guest addressed the gathering with the message on the importance of cleanliness and how it can connect the people to the nature. In the Presidential Address, the Principal emphasized certain tips to maintain cleanliness in the school premises. The factual and wakeful speeches were delivered by Nithya and Sindhu S Kamath of the class X. As a part of this kids of KG wing along with the Principal and staff planted to beautify the premises. To create the awareness among the public there was the procession from the students of class IX and X with the awakening placards which was accompanied by Coordinator, Principal and a bunch of teachers. The procession not only inspired the commons but also inspired the other responsible officers such as Circle Inspector, Thahasildar and BEO giving them plants.
Republic Day was celebrated in JSS Public School campus with great pomp and show. Students from class VI- X exhibited their patriotism by participating in different events with enthusiasm and zeal. The programme began by hoisting the flag, singing National Anthem,Dwaj Geeth and Vande Mataram.Then Master Vijay Balaji and Miss Inchara of class-X delivered speeches in English and Kannada by highlighting on the actual meaning of Republic , its importance and by saluting the Immortal Souls and our Soldiers who are guarding us 24x7. C.V.Raman House won the match. Chief guest Mr.Madhava Reddy delivered the speech and praised the school. Folk song, violin jugalbandhi & classical dance were performed by the students. The prize winners from Pre-KG to X standard were honoured in both CCA & Sports.Finally championship was announced. Miss. Prateeksha D.L of VIII Std, Master. Mohith Maharshi of VIII Std,Miss. Myths and Miracles busted at JSS Public School, Malur 24th Annual Day Celebration On 27th December,2017 JSS Public School, Malur Celebrated 24th Annual Day with great enthusiasm and Zeal. The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. The triumph was made possible by the relentless efforts of our principal and staff. The Chief Guest were Sri . H.N Sharath ,capacity building for NGO’s, Sri. Hulikal Nataraj an eminent miracle exposurer , Science teacher, Headmaster Doddaballapur. He embarked on a mission to bust myths & miracles by propagating scientific temperament, during his demonstration of two hours he left the audience in total awe by busting myth after myth , giving apt scientific explanation and where science not involved threw light on the ‘technique’ used by these miracle workers ,black magicians and self styled god men who often cheat the innocent by performing these ‘miracles’ and claim to possess divine powers. Sri.B.F. Patil, member secretary of JSS development committee and Retd, commissioner in textiles development department presided over the function. Annual report was presented by Mrs.Nuzhath Muneera principal, JSSPSM. Meretorious students were honoured by Sri.B.F.Patil. The formal function came to an end at 1:00pm by thanking the chief guests for spending their precious time from their busy schedule to attend the annual day function. The cultural extravaganza began at 4:00pm where JSS students unleashed their talents and entertained the audience to the extreme at ‘JSS TARANG’. Rain dance, Robotic dance, Puppet dance, Radium dance and many more performances enthralled the hearts of the audience, the programme came to an end at 10:00pm.
Inter house Marathon was held on 29thNovember,2017 with the theme: “SWATCH JAL SWATCH BHARATH”. It was inaugurated by Mrs. Nuzhath Muneera , Principal JSSPSM accompanied by the P.E teachers Mr. Ramesh and Mrs. Mangamma, giving a few inspirational and motivational words to the enthusiastic runners. The zeal and enthusiasm encouraged the students to compete till the end. Students were gripped with a feeling of anxiety and nervousness although some runners achieved Triump; others were still satisfied with their attempt to complete.

Children’s Day was Celebrated at JSS PS, Malur with Enthusiasm and Zeal. The motto of the programme was to entertain Children. The Celebration began with morning assembly conducted by teachers. Lady teachers were in traditional Kerala sarees and Gents in White shirt and black trousers. Games like Kabbadi for boys and lemon and spoon for girls were organised. A colourful and enthralling dance performed by lady teachers who rocked the stage and Gents teachers enacted a skit and made the day memorable. School Captain and Vice Captain were the chief guest and principal had presided over the function. Prizes were distributed for the winners and the programme ended with a vote of thanks.

It is the headquarters of Kolar District and is known for Largest production of Milk, which recently beated Denmark. Kolar is popularly known as the land of silk, milk, Mango,(National fruit of India) and gold.JSSPSM Students accompanied with a team of teachers and principal visited Antaragange, KMF, Devaraja’s Medical College, Bethmangala and Bangara Thirupathi .Students got the first hand information about KMF in different ways and they experienced the exotic beauty of Nature .
The little Stars of JSSPS displayed unbridled elation on 16th October 2017, as Yellow Day was being celebrated. All the Pre-Kg Students were dressed in dashing shades of Yellow, as the excitement was palpable in the air. A throng of activities were organized and the tiny tots took active part and enjoyed the day to its extreme.
Swachahata Hi Seva was celebrated in JSSPS, Malur from September 15 to October 02. A series of activities were conducted in the school by NCC,Cadets. ? On 15 September 2017- A Fortnight cleanliness drive was organised on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti by Mangamma N, ANO in JSS Public School Malur, for the NCC unit, 10 KAR BN. Officer guided the NCC students in the drive. The details of the drive are as follows: ? To begin with the drive, ‘SwachhataHiSeva Pakwada’ was inaugurated in the morning assembly. The principal inaugurated the drive by delivering a speech to create awareness in the young minds regarding clean and healthy environment. All the School students along with NCC cadets took the pledge to keep the environment clean administered by the principal. ? On 17 September 2017, a singing activity about swachha bharath songs held in JSS Public School campus from 10 to 12 a.m. NCC Cadets participated in the activity. They sang Hindi and Kannada songs to inspire the troupe. ? On 18 September, 2017 Poster Making was held as a part of Cleanliness Drive. The theme of the activity was cleanliness. NCC cadets took part in the activity. The pictures stood testimony to the high level creativity of the students. ? On 20 September, 2017 at 11:00 am an Essay Competition was held at JSSPS Malur. The topic of the competition was “What can I do for clean India”. All the NCC cadets participated actively. ? On 21 September, 2017 at 11:00 am a street play was performed by NCC cadets near Maharaja Circle, Gandhi Circle, Railway station etc. to create awareness among the public to keep the environment clean. The students depicted the hazards of unclean environment and the benefits of clean environment through their songs and action with placards carrying messages. ? On 22 September, 2017 a Bicycle Rally was organised to carryout Cleanliness Drive in the town by Mangamma N, ANO. Mr. L. Munikrishnappa, Senior teacher JSSPS Malur flagged off the bicycle rally enthusiastically at 9 am. NCC cadets took part in the rally and carried placards regarding importance of Cleanliness with slogans for the campaign. They also distributed pamphlets to educate the people about cleanliness. ? On 23 September, 2017 a visit to a village was organised by the ANO. NCC cadets were divided into several groups. The cadets reached the village Guddnahalli which is 3 km away from the town at 9.30 am. The students indulged in door to door campaign. ? On 24 September, 2017 NCC cadets along with ANO and assistant teachers of JSS Public School took initiative steps to create the awareness about harmful effects of the plastic covers. ? On 27 September, 2017 Drawing competition was held as a part of Cleanliness Drive. ? On 29 September 2017 in order to honour the national leader, the NCC cadets cleaned the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the town. ? On 30 September 2017 Rally was organised to campaign Cleanliness Drive in the Malur town. Principal, JSSPS Malur inaugurated the rally. ? On 01 October 2017 Shramadhan was organised in the Malur town. Cadets took active part in the Shramadhan.
148th Gandhi Jayanthi and 113th Lalbahadur Shastri Jayanthi was celebrated in JSSPS, Malur. The programme began with an Invocation Bhajan ie; Raghupathi Raghava Raja Ram. Students delivered speeches. As Gandhiji respected and treated all the religions equally to commemorate that our students also recited different Holy Books. Then Our Social Science Teacher Mr. Munikrishnappa spoke about the objectives behind the celebration and our Principal Mrs. Nuzhath Muneera presided over the function addressed the gathering and highlighted on the principles of M.K Gandhi. National De-Worming Day Inauguration 2017-18 Government of Karnataka Organised National De-Worming Day Inauguration in JSS Public School Malur on 10 August,2017. Albendazole tablets were provided for all the students. Malur BEO Mr. Madava Reddy, BRC Mr. Vijay Kumar and Deputy Health Officer Dr.Prasanna Kumar were present and JSS Public School Principal Mrs. Nuzhath Muneera presided over the function. Mr. Madava Reddy, BEO delivered a speech, on the importance of De-Worming in our body and he also advised students to be good Intellectuals. Then Mr. Prasanna Kumar, Health Officer Spoke on De-Worming and three types of worms in our body and its effects. He also demonstrated the six steps of washing hands. School Captain and Vice-Captain Election was conducted in the school premises on 15/06/2017. The total number of 367 in which Meghana K of class X is elected as School Captain and won the election with 290 votes and Swaroop N of class X elected as Vice Captain with 182 votes for the academic year 2017-18. The captain and Vice Captain will officially take oath and charge of their duties in the forthcoming Investiture Ceremony.
WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY 2017-18 World No Tobacco Day was celebrated on 31 may, 2017 in JSS Public School Malur .The program started at 10:00 am to 2:00pm . The program began with an Inauguration by Sri. Abdul Khader Chief Civil Judge and JMFC Malur. Sri Prasanna Kumar Taluk Health Inspector Malur, Presided over the program. Sri K M Manjunath Senior Lawyer Malur, Dr. Sheshadri Surgeon, Govt Hospital Malur and Smt Nuzhath Muneera Principal JSS Public School Malur were the Chief Guests. They delivered lectures on the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and its adverse effect on their families. After the program NCC Cadets with ANO Smt Mangamma accompanied by few teachers carried out a rally by displaying placards and telling slogans to create awareness about the day in public places like, Bus Stand, Government Hospital, civil court and in many other places of the town.
WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL DAY CELEBRATION 2017-18 JSS Public School Malur carried out plantation drive on the occasion of ‘’World Environmental Day.’’ The day proceeding began with the melodious Invocation song dedicated to mother earth Sung by the students, Speeches were delivered by the students highlighting the present condition of our mother earth, due to the threats that are set to wreak havoc with the mankind, planet & its ecosystem. Procession was carried out by NCC Cadets and by 8th, 9th & 10th students displaying placards and telling slogans to spread awareness and also make everyone feel responsible for safety of the mother earth. The Procession carried on the important public places of Malur town, like Town hall, Gandhi circle, Maharaja circle etc. Then attended public programme organised by Municipality Malur. In this programme Municipality President addressed the gathering with PPT and highlighted on the need to sensitize ourselves and others to save mother earth and stressed that the young generation can surely make a difference.
JSS Public School, Malur Class- X CBSE Result 2016-17 16 Gems of the CROWN (With 10 CGPA) The students of JSSPS, Malur have performed exceedingly well in the CBSE-X Examination conducted in the month of 2016-17. The School has got 100% result. It is noteworthy that, out of 93 students who appeared in this examination, 16 students have secured 10 CGPA, 66 students secured Distinction and 27 students secured First class. The school toppers are Abhishek K. S, Anusha S. R, Nihal Ranjan Gowda and Sathvik obtained perfect 10 CGPA.
